Sachin Tendulkar- His Memorable Hundreds

Sachin Tendulkar is probably the most popular and successful Indian cricketer of all times. His impressive test career started in 1989 against Pakistan. When we take a look at his performance over the last 20 years, we can see that his efforts are not just great but astonishing at times.
In his brilliant career in Test cricket, he has scored 42 hundreds and has accumulated more than 12,500 runs with an average score of about 55 runs. His unrelenting efforts have made Sachin Tendulkar as one of the most exceptional cricketers, not only in Indian Cricket but World Cricket as well.
Let’s take a look at some of his memorable hundreds.
1990, Old Trafford, 119 not out Vs England
Sachin was just 17 when he scored 119 not out against bowlers like Malcolm, Lewis and Fraser to save the test match by bringing up the score to give India an equal option of winning the match. He joined forces with Kapil Dev and Manoj Prabhakar and batted with unrelenting effort for about 4 hours to achieve this feat.
1991-92, Perth, 114 Vs Australia
This score was accomplished in the last test of a series against Australia’s fast bowlers in their home pitch. Sachin Tendulkar scored 114 including 16 amazing boundaries against bowlers like McDermott, Hughes and Reiffel.
1996-97, Cape Town, 169 Vs South Africa
This was during a deciding second test match of a three test series when India was struggling with 58 for 5 against a 529 made by South Africa. Tendulkar played an incredible game of his career to score 169 to boost India from the dredges of  defeat to a follow on.
1997-98, Chennai, 155 not-out Vs Australia
This is another memorable test match where Tendulkar played brilliantly to score 155 in the second innings to the utter frustration of the Aussie bowlers. His unrelenting efforts helped India to win the series even after being bowled out for a meager 257 in the first innings.
1998-99, Chennai, 136 Vs Pakistan
In spite of back pain, Tendulkar in partnership with Nayan Mongia played a brilliant game to bring in this score. However, despite his memorable performance, India lost the match to Pakistan.
1999-00, Melbourne, 116 Vs Australia
This feat was achieved by Tendulkar against players like Fleming, Warne and McGrath.
2001-02, Bloemfontein, 155 Vs South Africa
Tendulkar achieved 155 runs from 183 balls that included 23 fours and one six.
2002, Leeds, 193 Vs England
Again, this winning score by Tendulkar helped India to defeat England in a test match after a long gap. The win was possible with the combined efforts of Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and Tendulkar.
2003-04, Sydney, 241 not-out Vs Australia
Tendulkar shined in the final test of a four test series to accumulate this unbelievable score, once again proving his abilities as a world class batsman.
2008-09, Hamilton, 160 Vs New Zealand
Emerging as a test winner in New Zealand is considered quite difficult for India and the performance of Tendulkar helped India to take a lead.
